Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

Headteacher – Mrs Lodge

I have been the Headteacher at De Lucy since 2014, after joining the school in 2008 as a class based Assistant Headteacher, then as Deputy Headteacher in 2010.

My role at De Lucy is to lead the strategic direction of the school and line manage the senior leadership team. I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed regardless of starting points, any additional needs or external factors.

From September 2023, I will also be overseeing the subject leaders for the wider curriculum.

I am also one of the school's Safeguarding Team should you have any concerns about the welfare of a child.

Deputy Headteacher – Mrs Richardson

My role within De Lucy is to lead on teaching and learning in the school.

This involves working with Year Group Leaders and class teachers to ensure that the quality of education classes meets the needs of all pupils and is presented in an engaging and varied way.

As part of my role, I am also responsible for behaviour for the whole school. I work closely alongside the school’s behaviour coordinator to monitor the behaviour of all classes and the provision for children whose behaviour may pose a barrier to their learning. We adopt inclusive practices and believe that positive praise and reinforcement lies at the heart of building a hard-working ethos, resilience and self-belief amongst our pupils.

I also lead on reading for KS2 and oversee reading within EYFS and Key Stage 1. I have a strong commitment to ensuring that all children are equipped with the skills needed to be able to read, not only for learning purposes, but for pleasure too.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I play an active part in the day-to-day running of the school including coordinating teachers release for PPA and monitoring duties as well as day to day cover when needed.

I am also one of the school's Safeguarding Team should you have any concerns about the welfare of a child.

Assistant Head–Inclusion - Mrs Bryan

My role is to lead on Inclusion throughout the school; I am also the SENCo - it is my responsibility to develop provision for children with Special Needs.

I am also responsible for Looked After Children (LAC), children with English as Additional Language (EAL), behaviour and medical needs.

As part of my role I work closely with members of the Inclusion Team to remove barriers and support children’s access to learning as well as co-ordinating our work with external agencies such as the Educational Psychology Service.

As a member of the senior leadership team, I support staff and line manage members of the Inclusion Team and support the day-to-day running of the school.

I am also one of the school's Safeguarding Team should you have any concerns about the welfare of a child. I am also the Senior Mental Health Lead.

School Business Manager – Mrs Moran

My role is to lead on income generation (including lettings), finance, line managing support staff, human resources and recruitment, including staff attendance management, ICT Infrastructure, catering and lunchtimes and our breakfast and afterschool club provision.

As part of my role I ensure that all safer recruitment procedures are in place and followed in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. I regularly monitor the school budget to ensure that the school has ‘best value’ as well as ensuring that there are sufficient funds to support the curriculum and school improvement.

As a member of the senior leadership team I line manage the admin team and oversee lunchtimes. I also support the day-to-day running of the school.
