School Meals
Here at De Lucy, all our meals are cooked fresh on site.
All children in Reception and Year 1 have a named key Midday Meal Supervisor (MDMS).

Changes for September 2023
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has announced an emergency scheme to help families with the spiralling cost of living by ensuring that every primary school child in London will receive free school meals from September 2023 for one academic year.
As a school, we would like all of our children to benefit from this scheme and so from September no child should bring a packed lunch to school. If you think your child needs a home packed lunch for a medical reason, (for example dieticians know them or we are aware of difficulties with eating) please email info@delucy.greenwich.sch.uk by Monday 10th July.
Benefits of a school meal:
· Pupils receive nutritionally balanced hot or cold meal
· Improved eating habits –pupils start trying different dishes, food groups, make healthier food choices
· Saving families money and time preparing packed lunches - £12.05/week, £48.20/month, £455/year for one child
Our school meal provider Chartwells can provide a variety of choice, School Food Standards (SFS) compliant menu, Nutritional support, Medical diet menus, cold lunch offer, parent menu tastings and theme days.
Any families choosing to take up the cold lunch offer (sandwiches/wraps with vegetables/salad and pudding) must have these ordered in advance by contacting the school office info@delucy.greenwich.sch.uk or 0208 310 5290.
