Year 6 Prom - 15th July 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
Parents, with the support of the Year 6 team, are currently organising the End of Year Prom, which will take place on Wednesday 15th July after school.
To help make the prom a success, we kindly ask for the support of all parents and carers. Following our recent parent meeting, a dedicated WhatsApp group has been created by parents to help coordinate plans and share ideas. This will be the main platform for communication, and we strongly encourage everyone to join.
Tickets for the prom will cost £10 per child. Payment should be made via the School Gateway app with a £5 deposit to secure a place by 4th June and the remaining balance by 19th June. This will be going live on the School Gateway today. An evolve form will be set up on 5th June and permission sent to those why have signed up.
The money raised will go towards purchasing gifts for the children, as well as snacks and drinks for the event.
Last year, parents and carers helped provide additional special touches, such as a photo booth and a sit-down buffet, which made the evening even more memorable. We would love for our current Year 6 pupils to enjoy a similar experience.
If you are able to support in any of the following ways, your help would be greatly appreciated:
A small financial contribution
Food contributions – a dish from your culture or any party food
(Ideas from last year included different types of chicken, rice dishes, pasta, chicken nuggets, sandwiches/wraps, sausage rolls, pizza, cakes and pastries.)
Decorations – balloons, backdrops, banners and table decorations
Volunteering on the day to help set up the hall and supervise the event
Please note that siblings are not permitted to attend, even if a parent/carer is volunteering, as this event is exclusively for Year 6 pupils. Any parents who offer to volunteer at the event will need to provide information to enable the school to run a List 99 background check.
If you have any questions or would like to offer additional suggestions, please contact Mrs Alexander Cuta (Alex’s mum), who has kindly volunteered to coordinate the WhatsApp group. Alternatively, you may contact the school office, who will forward your message to the Year 6 team.
We look forward to creating a memorable celebration for the children as they mark the end of their journey at De Lucy.
