Year 6 - KS2 SATs week - Key information

As a reminder, SATs week for Year 6 begins on Monday 11th May. The children are continuing to work extremely hard towards their end of primary school outcomes and we are very proud of them.

Key stage 2 test timetable for 2026

SATS Breakfast 

There will be a ‘SATs Breakfast’, where the school will be providing breakfast each morning (Monday – Thursday). We encourage all children to take up the offer. Not only does it ensure they are in school on time, it is a really good way to meet up with friends before the tests begin and to settle any nerves they may have.  This is for Year 6 pupils only - siblings will not be admitted.

We will open the main front gate at 8.30am until 8.35am.

How to support your child

• Continue to support with home learning and any additional tasks set by the class teacher
• Ensure that your child is getting enough sleep (devices should be switched off an hour before bedtime).
• Reassure your child that they have worked hard and their best is good enough 😊

Fun day/Picnic  

Year 6 will be having a fun day on Friday 15th May 2026. This is a celebration to mark the end of SATs where children will be able to enjoy music, sporting and fun activities throughout the day and then have a picnic where they can relax with their classmates in the playground in the afternoon.

Please could you child bring a picnic blanket and some snacks in to enjoy on the day.  Please also ensure that they are dressed in their PE kits. Hopefully some sun hats and sun cream will be needed by then!
