Year 1 Phonics Screening Check Meeting
Dear Parents and Carers of Year 1,
There will be a parent meeting at 9am on Friday 24th April regarding the upcoming national Phonic Screening Check assessment that your child will be sitting in June.
This will be similar to what Miss Gayton is teaching in class but there will also be some additional reading practise that the children will be bringing home, including how to read “alien words.”
Please attend this meeting so that you have the best idea of how to support your child with the test. We are aiming to keep this to 20 minutes and will provide handouts too.
