World Book Day 2026
Dear Parents & Carers,
This year, World Book Day is on Thursday 5th March.
At De Lucy, we will be celebrating in a number of ways:
- Children may come to school dressed as their favourite book character
- Or children may come to school dressed in their PJs ready for a bedtime story!
- Book swap shop – children can bring a good quality book from home to swap for a different nearly new book.
- Storytime Assembly
- Book activities in class
We hope that this will further raise the profile of reading for pleasure for our pupils as we know that the best way to improve children’s life outcomes, is by ensuring they are readers.
