Updated Tapestry App

 Please see information below from Tapestry regarding the new app.

 

We’re writing to let you know that the new Tapestry App is now available to download from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Amazon Appstore.

The new app is called Tapestry – Childhood Education Platform.

·      Download for Apple devices

·      Download for Android devices

·      Download for Amazon Fire devices

This new app will fully replace the old one you’ve been using.

We’ve created user guides to help you get familiar with the new app.

What’s happening to the old app?

·      From now on, the old app will not get any new features, bug fixes, or security updates.

·      You can continue using the old app for a few months, but you will not be able to reinstall it if you delete it or install it on a new device.

·      By spring 2026, the current app will be retired and will stop working.

To continue using Tapestry effectively, please switch to the new app as soon as possible.

New operating system requirements

To use the new app, your device must be running:

·      iOS: version 15.6 or higher

·      Android: version 8 or higher

·      Amazon Fire: version 7 or higher.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to check your device and update it.

What this means for you

·      If your device is on iOS 13–15.5: you’ll need to update to iOS 15.6 or higher to keep using Tapestry.

·      If your device is on iOS 12 or lower (or cannot update further): you’ll need to use a newer device.

·      If your device is on Android 7 or lower: you’ll need to update to Android 8 or higher to keep using Tapestry.

·      If you use an Amazon Fire device:

o   Devices running OS 7 on 9th–11th generation hardware can still download the app, but you may notice reduced performance.

o   For the best experience, we recommend using OS 8 or higher on 12th generation devices or newer.

We understand this may be frustrating, especially if your current device still works. These changes are necessary because Apple and Google have stopped supporting older operating systems. Without that support, devices no longer receive important security updates or fixes. This means any apps running on them — including Tapestry — cannot guarantee your data will remain protected. To keep Tapestry safe and reliable, we must follow the same support limits set by Apple and Google.

Our priority is to protect your information and make sure Tapestry remains secure and reliable. To help, we’ve put together a support page with examples of lower-cost devices that meet the requirements.
