Secondary school offers and next steps
Tomorrow, you will receive an email from e-admissions informing you of your child’s secondary school allocation, unless you submitted a paper application in which case you will receive a letter by post. If your application was late (after 31st October), you will not yet be informed of your child’s allocation.
It is really important that you read the information which comes with your offer. If you have been allocated a school of choice it will be assumed that you will be accepting the place. If you have been allocated a school which was not on your preferences, then you will be given information about how to respond.
If your child has not been allocated a school of choice, please do not panic and immediately reject. We would advise that you accept and ask to go on waiting list and look at appeal processes. Declining a school will not mean that you will be allocated a school of choice, it could mean that your child is without a school in September. If you are unsure what your options are please call the school and a member of staff will call you.
