School uniform
Dear Parents & Carers,
As we come towards the end of term we start to notice that uniform can slip. The expectations are still in place until we break up on 17th July.
We have a school uniform to show belonging to our school community and to ensure that all children are able to dress the same and there is no stigma around who can/can’t afford new/designer clothes. This is why we ask for everything to be plain so it is affordable. As a school we also actively promote purchasing uniform from shops such as Asda or Sainsburys.
As a reminder, school uniform is:
- Plain white polo shirt (with a collar)/shirt
- Black school trousers (not jogging bottoms or black jeans or leggings) - *Jogging bottoms are acceptable in nursery only*
- Black school skirt
- Black school shorts (not sports shorts)
- Red and white checked summer dress
- Black shoes or trainers (plain without any colour)
- White/black socks
- Black/red tights
- Stud earrings is the only jewellery to be worn
- Red/Black/White hijabs
- No nail varnish or acrylic nails
- No make up
The appropriate PE wear is as follows:
- Plain white t-shirt
- Plain black shorts/tracksuit bottoms/leggings
- Plain black hoodie/zipped up jacket if needed or a De Lucy logo black hoodie
- Trainers (any colour)
If you are experiencing financial hardship, you can call the school or send an email to info@delucy.greenwich.sch.uk requesting a call about uniform and a member of the Senior Leadership Team who will endeavour to find some nearly new uniform for your child.
You can find more information if required in our uniform policy - https://www.delucyprimaryschool.co.uk/docs/policies/statutory_policies/School_Uniform_Policy_review_Autumn_2027.pdf
Thank you in advance for your support in this matter.
Kind regards,
The Senior Leadership Team
