No mobile phone use on school site
Dear parents and carers
I would like to inform all parents and carers that as of tomorrow – Wednesday 15th April, the whole school site, including the main playground will be a no mobile phone zone. Therefore, please ensure that your mobile phone is away and not in use ahead of entering any of our school gates. This extends to being on phone calls via headphones.
Currently, we are a no mobile phone school in the which we advertise at our main reception desk when visitors sign in. Due to EYFS guidance, the Nursery outside area and the Reception – Year 2 outside area has always been a no mobile phone zone. We are now extending this to the main playground at the end of the school day.
This is not only to ensure the safety of all children at De Lucy, but also to promote conversations with children about their day.
