Hot weather

As you are probably aware, we are due for some very hot days this week, with temperatures up to 33 degrees Celsius expected on Friday!

Our priority in hot weather is to keep everyone safe and settled and this may mean limiting time outside, especially at lunchtime if shade is limited.

Please ensure that you child has a named water bottle in school. Ordinarily, children do not take these outside as we have the water fountains, but as it will be very warm, children will be encouraged to take these out for PE and playtimes/lunchtimes.

Can you please ensure that your child has a named hat (it doesn’t matter what colour it is). Please also apply sun cream on your child before coming to school.

In order to help everyone stay cool, we will be relaxing the uniform a little so that if preferred, children can wear their black PE shorts and trainers for the rest of this week. It is unlikely that jumpers and cardigans will need to come into school. We ask that children so not wear open-toes shoes as these are not safe for running around in.

Thank you for your support.

We are still limiting parent access to the school office.
