DSFA Summer Fair - 10th July 2026
Dear Parents & Carers,
Behind the scenes, our DSFA volunteers are working incredibly hard preparing fun, fundraising events for our children and families. This term alone they have planned a disco, are currently running a Fathers’ Day pop up shop and have started making arrangements for the Summer Fair. I cannot thank them enough for the work they are doing as, without their time and effort, these events would just not happen. I would like to say a special thank you to Zoe Hutley who is leading the team. It is a very friendly team who are always looking for more volunteers. Help can be anything from wrapping lucky dip prizes at home, going to shops to ask for raffle prizes, supporting at an event, making cakes, selling tuck on a Friday after school – the list is endless. Help can also be given as and when someone is free-you do not have to commit to everything. If you would like to know a little more, please speak to myself, Mrs Lodge or Mrs Moran when we are on the gates or anyone in the DSFA team.
Summer Fair – Friday 10th July
- Weather permitting, this will be outside in the playground and Reception Garden from 3.30-5.30pm.
- There will be a number of different games & activities, a bouncy castle, refreshments, a DJ, nearly new toys & clothes, pocket money toys, a raffle and much more!
- Children will also be given the opportunity to bounce during the day for £1.50.
We are asking if you have any of the following that are no longer needed and could be donated to the school:
- Teddies washed and in good condition
- Unwanted toys in good working order
- Unwanted children’s clothes and dress up outfits
- Unwanted toiletries and gifts
On the day, if you are able to donate some cakes (homemade or bought) these would be gratefully received (if home baking, then allergens would need to be listed.) You can either let me or one of the DSFA members know if you are able to support with this.
Finally, if either you or a family member/friend owns a small business and could donate a raffle prize, this would be great too.
We are all looking forward to this event and we are hoping that the weather will be kind to us!
Kind regards,
Mrs Richardson
